Client’s challenge

The client requested NEKLO to develop an eCommerce store to sell medicines and other health supplies online. The main challenge was to transform the client’s informational website into a full-fledged digital pharmacy. An extra consideration was to deliver a solution that will be highly competitive in the client's domestic market. Other challenges that our team needed to address during the project were:

New Magento 2 online pharmacy

We created a brand new Magento store with convenient catalog navigation, fresh design, and user-friendly checkout process. The main features include smart search with automatic suggestions, prescriptions handling, and seamless order management and tracking.

Advanced customization

The outdated design of the initial store needed complete reimagining. The team balanced functionality, customer experience and aesthetic appeal to create a modern, responsive and intuitive store interface. The ePharmacy gained a clean layout, user-friendly color palette and navigation for mobile devices, as well as advanced accessibility features.

3rd party integrations

NEKLO team integrated the existing ERP system, consolidating inventory, sales, procurement, and financial data into one platform. We also enabled the most popular payment gateways in the region (Swedbank, SEB, Luminor, Citadele), ensuring smooth user experience and greater freedom in choosing most convenient payment methods.

Extension for seamless shipment

The development team built a custom Magento 2 shipment module that allows the use of local delivery services for medicine order fulfillment. The delivery options include courier service, Venipak, Smartpost, Post offices of the Latvian Post, and delivery to Circle K DUS.

Tailored loyalty program

We developed a bonus points system where users earn points with every purchase and can redeem them for bonus products. Additionally, we introduced a charity feature that lets customers choose to spend their points on causes like planting trees or supporting animal shelters.

Map of traditional pharmacies

Our developers took an extra step and introduced an easy-to-navigate map of brick-and-mortar stores at the online store. We implemented automatic location tracking to enhance rapid city navigation, making offline visits more accessible.
