Client’s challenge
The client came to NEKLO to create a Magento-powered online system to connect skin care experts with end customers. The customers thus could receive an opportunity to consult skincare experts through video calls and get evidence-based product recommendations.
The client asked NEKLO to:
- Build a skincare marketplace allowing providers to create their account via verification flow, specify the services and products they offer, and manage consultation appointments;
- Provide integrations with third-party services and platforms, including Twilio as the selected solution for video calls
- Separate the logic for skincare providers and customers.

NEKLO's Magento specialists delivered a solution providing the customers with an opportunity to purchase any service provided by the particular specialist without further service appointment management.
The project scope included:
- Development of a customized AI-powered platform for skincare product recommendations that both skincare experts and customers can use;
- Providing an opportunity for a skin expert to communicate with the customers and attach the recommended products to the specific appointment;
- Creation of the "Skincare Quiz" logic to help customers find the most suitable product recommendations.
